People often ask why we choose full-grain leather. The answer is actually quite simple. We choose natural materials. At ATLEY., we work exclusively with full-grain leather that is a by-product of the food industry. Our hides are sourced through agreements with Victorian farmers, where they are valued as a natural by-product rather than produced solely for leather. For me, it's about making the most of a material that already exists - and turning it into something worth keeping.

Why Full-Grain Leather?

I've always been drawn to natural materials that improve with time, not despite being used, but because of it. That's what I love about full-grain leather. We don't try to disguise its natural surface. Variation, grain and subtle marks are part of the material. It softens and develops a rich patina. It carries the marks of the life it's lived.

No two pieces will ever age in exactly the same way, and I think that's something worth celebrating.
